Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility. A BIM is a shared knowledge resource data base with data about a facility forming a reliable basis for decisions during its life-cycle; defined as existing from earliest conception to demolition.
Autodesk Revit is building information modeling ,software that is ubiquitous in industry  for architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, designers and contractors .  Revit allows users to design a building and structure and its components in 3D, the model with 2D drafting elements, and access to a common building model's database and be updated almost instantly. Revit is 4D capable with tools to plan and track various stages in the building's lifecycle, from concept to construction and later demolition.
